Reading it made me want to pick up my brushes right away and try out the various tips and tricks he accumulated over the years, and now generously shares with the reader in a lighthearted and very entertaining manner. The book is full of useful info, accompanied by fun illustrations in various media. For example, I loved the hand-drawn chart that explains best times to paint. (Avoid noontime—the light flips! Paint fast in mornings and evenings). Many books in painting have lengthy text that you largely wind up skipping, this book is concise, fun and on point. Shared this book with my daughter and her art teacher—the easy style makes it perfect for kids!
